Olympics

As the Olympic Games draw to a close I wanted to applauded the effort of all the athletes with two exceptions and possibly a few more. To the Swedish wrestler who though so little of his bronze medal tat he threw it on the ground and stormed off, do not while a couple of days later that you want your medal back you threw it on the ground and stormed off no one else forced you to throw that temper tantrum.

Today a Taekwondo boxer was mad after he got disqualified and kicked the referee in the face, he should be brought up on charges and put in jail for his act, no questions asked. Other than these two acts of stupidity the games have went very well and the world should applaud the athletes.

Security

The neighborhood that we live in has gotten so bad that we have bought and placed a security camera to watch our driveway. I never thought it would get to that in this nice quiet neighborhood, but as more people move to the suburbs from the inner city the crime follows them. Both of our cars have been broken into and things have begun to disappear from the back of our house. I yearn for the days when you did not have to lock your house and your property was safe.

Rampage

Mother Nature has been on the rampage of late, between the cyclone in Burma and the earthquake in China. I am sure that those parts of the world are wondering what brought this onslaught upon them. I consider us in the United States very lucky to have the resources to help in the event of a natural disaster. God speed to those affected and I for one hope that Mother Nature takes the rest of the summer off.

Oranges

I really like the taste and texture of an orange, but once it is put in the refrigerator I can not stand to eat them. I do not know what being in the refrigerator does to them but once they go in there you might as well throw them away. There are a couple of things I can not stand cold, well cold pizza is ok as long as it is left out of the refrigerator, it turns to goo as soon as it is in there.

David Letterman

Since the writers strike is over and David Letterman has returned to the air with live shows, he has shown his lame humor even more. I am so tired of his attempts at political humor, he has no game so to speak any more.

Now the guy I find very funny now is Craig Ferguson who follows Letterman on CBS, he is funny and very topical, I enjoy his show a lot more than Letterman.
