Car Wash Again

Most of the time my car only needs a light hosing down to keep it clean. I do a spring detailing, and then once a week I run it through the automatic car wash at the gas station. It’s two bucks for a 5 minute hose job.

For some reason, where I parked my car yesterday was a bird poop magnet. When I came out of the office I found white splotches of bird shit all over the car. It wasn’t even under a tree. I have no fucking idea why a flock of birds would decide to fly over my car and just all of them shit on it. There weren’t any cars parked beside it when I got out of the office, so I am curious if they got shit splattered, too – or was it just me?

So this morning I got up early and drove down to the self serv car wash bays and spent a half hour scrubbing my down to get the bird shit off of it. I don’t know what the fuck I’m going to do about parking it in the lot to the office on Monday. Maybe I’ll find a place on the other side of the building.

This Grass Grows Fast

We have had a lot of Spring rain, so between the rain, the grass seed I put down last month, and the warmer temps, my yard is growing grass like crazy. It needs to be cut at least once a week in normal weather, which usually burns an hour of my Saturday mornings. My grass could actually use a second, mid week cut to keep it from getting our of control.

I went ahead and cut the grass this morning around 8:00 and got it out of the way. I even bagged the clippings so that the lawn doesn’t have a problem with thatch. A quick shower, then I was off to my girl’s house to scoop her up and head over to the Lake. It was crowded as hell, and we barely got a place to park. In fact, there were so many fucking kids running around screaming and crying that we got sick of it and left earlier than planned.

Dropped her off at home to get changed and cleaned up, then we are heading downtown for some bar hopping and clubbing. That’s my weekend so far.

Christmas Countdown

Here it is, almost Christmas. Have you got all your shopping done? The weather is bad – they are calling for snow again tonight and we already have the ground covered with the white stuff. The snow is going to mess up a lot of people’s plans for last minute shopping and for travel to go home and spend the holidays with relatives.

Veterans Day

Veterans Day is one of the more special holidays to me. I have had several members of my family serve in the military and to show support to them is a very important act to me and for that matter all the members of my family. We went to the Veterans Day Parade in Downtown Nashville this morning and to explain to my children the importance of the military was very important to me, and I hope the understand and do not listen to the idiots who think that we do not need a strong military presence. Bless the veterans and the Nation that they have defended to make the rest of us free.
