I want to have a pasta salad. You know, the kind you can buy at the deli? Except there are no delis around here. So I guess I have to make it myself. I have no idea what you cal the salad that I like so I can’t look it up without knowing what its called. It has the three colors of spiral shaped pasta and dressing is an oil and vinegar type dressing – with onions, black olives, etc. Do you know how to make this or what it is called?

Its So Hot You Can Fry An Egg
The temperature was in the 90’s but the heat index was supposedly 125 degrees today. That is really hot – especially when there is no shade. They say you can fry an egg on the sidewalk when it gets this hot. I’m not one for wasting a good egg, but it would be interesting to see the results.
Returning the Favor
One of my good friends, Spencer, is doing a lot of yard work and asked me to help him out this weekend. He has helped me a lot in the past, so I just couldn’t say no. I believe that friendship is a two way street. If someone helps you out, then you have an obligation to help them when they need it from you. So, I’ll be playing in the dirt at Spencer’s house this weekend. Stop by and bring us some cold drinks, will ya?
Counting Pennies
I don’t want to say that money is tight, but wow, the expenses and bills just keep racking up! I have budgeted and scrimped and I can’t seem to save a dime.
Last week I even cut some coupons out of the newspaper and took them to the grocery store. I saved about $12 on the groceries that would have cost $62, and it only took about 10 minutes to sort through the coupons and cut them out. I might be onto to something with that.
Thank God for Navy Seals
It was the United States Navy Seals who took out the worlds worst terrorist in modern time. Congratulations to the Navy Seals. I am so proud of the job our military can do when given the right tools and a point in the right direction. The Navy is not just for the oceans – they do a fantastic job on the land, too.
