Anyone who is going out to celebrate the New Year has no business behind tyhe wheel of a car. The Nashville police force and one of the local TV stations has a program to provide a safe ride if you have been drinking. You can go find your car the next day when your head is cleared and you have no chance of going to jail for DUI. Let us hope everyone has a safe and very happy new year and the police have nothing to do on that dat except give drunk people a safe ride home.

Cold
Man it is so cold here today, I just can not seem to get warm. I have on sweats and a jacket with the heater running full blast and I am still cold. I wonder how quickly I can get a plane ticket for warmer weather. I know the rest of my family feels the same way I do, my only problem is I have a contract with the newspaper until June and I have no money saved up to move. I guess that is two problems but we can start working on both of them as soon as we possibly can and get ready to move our butts out of Nashville in June.
Cars
Ever notice how people name their cars and trucks? I read an article today that stated that cars are girls trucks are boys and motorcycles could go either way. I do not agree with this article in a couple of ways, motorcycles are not either they are girls and I can not see any self respecting biker riding a bike with a boys name, except for the idiots in the Tv series I have been watching, hell they have one guy who does not even wear boots his bright white tennis shoes are a hit with my friends who ride motorcycles. My vehicles have always had names and still do to this day, and they have all been girls names even the trucks.
To soon
It is way to early for stores and people to be putting up their Christmas lights, let us get through Thanksgiving anyway. Some stores had their Christmas stuff up and in the store before Halloween was over. I am a firm believer that no one should be forced to endure Christmas music or lights before December 1, and that is the earliest that it should be allowed by law and a stiff fine say $50 per song and $10 per light that hits the world before December 1. I am sorry for those who do not agree but this is a free world and they are entitled to their opinion just as I am.
Loud music
The city fathers of Nashville have lost their collective minds it seems. They are trying to make the honky tonks on Broadway turn down the music so it will not disturb the yuppies that have moved into the condos downtowns far as I am concerned the music as playing loud when they moved there and it is something they either need to learn to deal with or the best option is MOVE somewhere else where the music is not as loud. This to me is like some one buying a house near the airport and then complaining that the planes are to loud, as I said deal with it or move.
