What is up with the signs at Walgreens for shingles shots? What is that all about? Is that something like the flu shot? I am so confused.
You know, the one time I got a flu shot I got really sick two days later. So I don’t think the flu shot works for me. And I sure don’t want to get a shingles shot and then end up with the shingles. That would totally suck.
The temperature was in the 90’s but the heat index was supposedly 125 degrees today. That is really hot – especially when there is no shade. They say you can fry an egg on the sidewalk when it gets this hot. I’m not one for wasting a good egg, but it would be interesting to see the results.
Helped a friend over the weekend who was injured and couldn’t operate a lock. He had to drive around and service a bunch of vending machines, including opening the money box and taking out all the coins. That’s hard to do with two broken fingers in a cast.
We dumped all the coins from the money boxes into small plastic tubs. Good grief – those tubs get heavy really fast. Then we sorted the coins in a mechanical coin sorter which counted the money as it ran through and put each type of coin into its own tube to be rolled in paper.
Interesting to me that there were a lot of foreign coins mixed in with the U.S. coins. We are not that international around here, so I was very surprised to see how many coins were from other countries.
I’m exhausted from helping Robin move yesterday and today. I’m getting too old for all this lifting and lugging of heavy boxes and furniture. I seriously feel like an old man today, can barely stand up straight and I’m walking really slow. But we got her moved out of the old place and everything was hauled up the stairs for her. Now she gets to have all the fun of unpacking the stuff. I’m done!
The past week has been very rough for me I have had a bout of strep throat and it has knocked me down in a big pile. Just as soon as I feel a little better I try to work and I get sick again. Maybe I am allergic to work! I will have to bring that up on my next doctors visit, I bet he will not go for that theory. I have not been eating very much because it hurts to try and swallow. A very rough way to try and lose 10 pounds. I hope I have gone over the hump I have felt much better the last couple of days and have had no relapse so it off to work I go. No more soup for me for one year!
