Maybe it is a shame we can not pick our family members as we choose our friends. My youngest brother has been in a conflict for some time with my oldest sister. I can not choose side they are both my family and I love them both, but now they have drawn other family members into their rift and it continues to grow into a canyon that threatens to draw the rest of the family into it. My biggest fear is that siblings will turn on siblings over this mess and I am trying to stay in the middle so I am being hit by arrows from both sides. Maybe this is a good time to go to a deserted island and hide.

Cat
We had a kitten appear at our house last week and of course being the softies that we are we took it in, not as easy as it sounds with five dogs. One of our employees took it home with him, He has a couple of cats and no dogs, so it is a much better place for a playful little kitten. There was just no room here, I would not of minded if we did not have the dogs. Dogs and cats for the most part do not mix well. I would of really hated if one of the dogs got a hold of it and hurt it. Well it has a good home now and thats all that matters.
Vacation
Next week I go on vacation and I am a bit concerned about the high price of gasoline, but we are still going to go on our trip, just not as far as we have went in the past. A quick trip to Chicago to see a Cubs game and then down to 6 Flags in Kentucky for a couple of days on our way home. Not a huge trip but we are looking forward to it. The family has not spent a lot of time together this year between school and work it has been very hectic. I look forward to this time with family.
Happy July 4th
Today is the holiday that I like the most of all the ones we have. It means the most to me, as my family is not from here so I guess we embrace the meaning of INDEPENDANCE Day more than most that have lived here all of their lives. My family escaped a communist government to move here and we really know what freedom means and love America for the freedom it allows us to have.
Daughters music
As I listen to the music my daughter and her friends are playing I try to grasp it but I have had a hard time. So I found a site that lets me see the Rap Lyrics and that has helped me understand the music.
Rap Lyrics is a great site with the lyrics to all the rap songs and I have found it a great tool to my mind and it lets me understand my kids and their music, I wish my parents had a site like this to understand the rock and roll I played all the time.
