What do you do with your loose change? I empty my pockets every night and drop all the loose change into a quart size Mason jar that I keep on the dresser. Its getting pretty full. Maybe I’ll drop it off at the bank next tie I know I’m going to that side of town. I bet there’s at least two hundred bucks in there.

Exchange Rate
Most people go through life and don’t give a second thought to the currency exchange rate for money between countries. But if you have to travel on business outside of the country or you plan a vacation at a different country, you will suddenly need to know how to change U.S. Dollars into the local currency, and you will need to know how much things cost in that local currency so you don’t get ripped off by people who take your money.
Foreign Coins
Helped a friend over the weekend who was injured and couldn’t operate a lock. He had to drive around and service a bunch of vending machines, including opening the money box and taking out all the coins. That’s hard to do with two broken fingers in a cast.
We dumped all the coins from the money boxes into small plastic tubs. Good grief – those tubs get heavy really fast. Then we sorted the coins in a mechanical coin sorter which counted the money as it ran through and put each type of coin into its own tube to be rolled in paper.
Interesting to me that there were a lot of foreign coins mixed in with the U.S. coins. We are not that international around here, so I was very surprised to see how many coins were from other countries.
Mercury dime
Today at work I found a 1924 Mercury Dime it is a bit worn but you would have to think it was worth a bit of money. I have no idea where to look online to see what old coins are worth but I am going to do a bit of searching to see what this little piece of silver is worth.
I find old coins from time to time and I always try to grab them up and save them, I need to get a site where I can look up the value of these old coins.
