Sweater Weather – or Hoodies?

I have never been a fan of hoodies. To me, they were sweatshirts with an unnecessary hood. A hood almost never gets used, and when it does, it restricts your field of vision. I would rather just have a sweatshirt – it looks cleaner and weighs less.

I am thinking that even sweatshirts are too casual for some of the activities I like. I should probably step up my wardrobe a little and buy a couple of really nice sweaters. I think a nice sweater and jeans just looks more, I don’t know the word, put together. Or polished.

Great Costumes

This weekend has been a ton of fun for the adults celebrating Halloween. Since the kids do not go trick or treating until tomorrow night, the adults get to party both Friday night and Saturday night. I bet some are going to party on Sunday night and Monday night, too.

I have seen some fantastic, elaborate costumes this year. None of the cheap Kmart costumes – I mean the professionals have been working hard!

No Basketball?

Are you as sick of hearing about pro athletes demanding more money as I am? I think they all are making plenty of money and threatening a strike for more money is just plain greedy. The team owners are a bunch of greedy fuckers, too. The ticket prices are too high for an average family to go to games, the concessions are too expensive, and when so many people are out of work and losing homes, to threaten a basketball strike is just really offensive to me. I have no sympathy for either side and could care less if they even have any pro basketball this year. Let them all sit on the bench for a year.

Red Pen

Do you own a red pen? I have a bunch of pens that are black, a few that are blue, and not a single red one in the house. I want to use the red pen to mark a special set of files. Seems a little strange to get in the car and drive to the store just to buy a red pen. Maybe I’ll just do something else for the rest of the day and wait to pick up a red pen tomorrow on my way to the office.

Shingles Shots

What is up with the signs at Walgreens for shingles shots? What is that all about? Is that something like the flu shot? I am so confused.

You know, the one time I got a flu shot I got really sick two days later. So I don’t think the flu shot works for me. And I sure don’t want to get a shingles shot and then end up with the shingles. That would totally suck.
