At the All Star break the Predators are dead in the water, near the bottom of the Western Conference in the West in the National Hockey League. I hope they get a second life and make the playoffs for the 5th year in a row. We truly need a big time offensive weapon to have a chance and I for one do not see the team splurging to buy that weapon so it looks bleak from my seat on the glass. Lets go Preds, make the playoffs!

My baby sisters baby daughter had a baby this week and none of us were even told that she was expecting a baby. I know my family has aways been very tight lipped and that is to be expected in this day and time but she could of told us the Krista was expecting a baby, this is a very happy time in a big family like mine and I would of been very happy to help in any way I could. I can not wait to get back to Oklahoma to see my new niece it will be a great trip for sure.

This great nation gets a new President in the morning and I for one can not wait, I wish I was there to see this historic event in person. I know the crowd tomorrow will be massive and in a very good mood at the same time. This country is so very ready for a change and I just hope it is not to late to save this country for the destructive path that it is on. Only one of the home teams won in their playoff games this weekend. The Pittsburgh Steelers won all the other home teams Tennessee, New York Giants and the Carolina Panthers all lost. I remember the years when a home playoff game meant certain victory and this year was not like that at all. Let us hope that the home teams win this weekend and the Cards and Steelers meet in Super Bowl 43 in Tampa Florida. It would be a huge match up for me and all Cardinal fans all over the world, all 148 of us.

The past week has been very rough for me I have had a bout of strep throat and it has knocked me down in a big pile. Just as soon as I feel a little better I try to work and I get sick again. Maybe I am allergic to work! I will have to bring that up on my next doctors visit, I bet he will not go for that theory. I have not been eating very much because it hurts to try and swallow. A very rough way to try and lose 10 pounds. I hope I have gone over the hump I have felt much better the last couple of days and have had no relapse so it off to work I go. No more soup for me for one year!
